Threadle Slices & Wraps

Friday 12/2 10am-1:30

In this workshop, we will focus on the handling of various types of threadle wraps and slices.  While I do recommend training verbals for these skills, this workshop will not focus on the training of the skills or verbals but rather how to handle them.

Friday 12/2 2:30-6

Whether your dog is fast, doesn’t like turning or is undermotivated, this is a much-needed skill for all agility competitors.  Most agility courses consist of many more turns than straight lines and most of these turns need deceleration skills.  While it may seem like a basic skill, deceleration is often underutilized and misunderstood.  In this workshop, you will learn why, when, and how to use deceleration.  We will cover the elements of handling including connection, footwork, timing, and your dog’s response to your cues.  We will cover the differences between the rhythm change, send, and turning into your dog.

Sunday 12/4 9:30-1

Handlers will be put to the test working on technical courses.  Courses will consist of about 20-25 obstacles and will be the equivalent of the highest level seen in the US.
